LRGV Nocturnal Bird Migration Study
Weekly Least Sandpiper (LESA) night flight call (nfc) activity automatically detected by Nighthawk software operating at multiple stations in the LRGV acoustic monitoring transect (3 stations in 2024 & 2025; 4 stations in 2026). LESA calls are automatically detected by Nighthawk software operating from half-an-hour after sunset to 90 minutes before sunrise in 2026. W. Evans confirmed identity of the automatic detections and removed non-LESA calls. Nfc activity is the sum of all incidences of a correctly ID'd LESA nfc call that occurred at least two minutes from another LESA nfc call. Data updated weekly.
