The Lower Rio Grande Valley Bird Migration Study is hosting an awards program for student art (paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media) related to nocturnal bird migration over the LRGV. This art opportunity is open to students associated with art classes at the schools participating in the bird migration study.*

Awards are granted to school art programs for the gallery of student artwork they submit. Each school selects the artworks to represent their entry. A school's body of artwork will be ranked by level of student engagement and creativity on the topic. In addition, ten students whose art stands out among all the entries will be acknowledged with a monetary stipend. Entry deadline is Friday April 4, 2025. Awards will be announced ~April 16, 2025 (delayed to April 25 due to flooding). The awards are as follows:
