LRGV Nocturnal Bird Migration Study
Weekly Least Sandpiper (LESA) night flight call (nfc) activity from the LRGV acoustic monitoring transect. LESA calls were automatically detected by Nighthawk software operating from half-an-hour after sunset to 90 minutes before sunrise in 2025 and from 9pm-5am in 2024. W. Evans confirmed identity of the automatic detections and removed non-LESA calls. Nfc activity is the sum of all incidences of a correctly ID'd LESA nfc call that occurred at least two minutes from another LESA nfc call.
